PT: Olá!

Hoje, 24 de outubro, é um dia de celebração dupla. Além do nosso encontro habitual de sexta-feira, é a data que escolhi para o lançamento do meu sexto livro de poesia: Catarse das Palavras - Volume I. Este é um projeto muito especial, pois é a minha segunda obra bilingue, com os poemas em Português e Inglês.

Como sou licenciada em história, não pude deixar de notar a data: um dia historicamente associado a uma grande viragem. E este livro é, para mim, exatamente isso: uma viragem na forma como a poesia se manifesta.

Se em "Poesias Mundanas" a poesia era leve, aqui ela é densa, visceral. Este livro é o resultado de uma necessidade profunda, uma catarse que as palavras e o papel me permitiram. Com poemas de carácter mais intenso, é um convite a olhar para os desafios do dia a dia com uma nova perspectiva.

EN: Hello! Today, October 24th, is a day of double celebration. In addition to our usual Friday meeting, it's the date I chose for the launch of my sixth poetry book: Catharsis of Words - Volume I. This is a very special project, as it is my second bilingual work, with poems in Portuguese and English.

As I have a degree in history, I couldn't help but notice the date: a day historically associated with a great turning point. And for me, this book is exactly that: a turning point in the way poetry manifests itself. If in "WordlyPoetry" the poetry was light, here it is dense, visceral. This book is the result of a deep need, a catharsis that words and paper allowed me. With poems of a more intense nature, it is an invitation to look at everyday challenges with a new perspective.

Da Imaginação à Realidade / From Imagination to Reality

PT:  Para este lançamento, escolhi um poema muito especial: "Quero ir para uma ilha". Foi escrito em 2014, e a coincidência é que, onze anos depois, em 2025, eu realizei o sonho do poema e fui às ilhas Phi Phi. A minha escrita e a minha vida, por vezes, cruzam-se de formas misteriosas.

EN: For this launch, I chose a very special poem: "I want to go to an island". It was written in 2014, and the coincidence is that, eleven years later, in 2025, I fulfilled the dream of the poem and went to the Phi Phi islands. My writing and my life sometimes intersect in mysterious ways.

PT: Quero ir para uma ilha

Quero ir para uma ilha

Lembrei-me do Taiti

Vender águas de coco

Para me poder ir embora daqui.

Recordei-me de outro lugar

A ilha de Madagáscar

Qualquer sítio serve

Para sair daqui e ir apanhar ar.

Sonhei depois comigo a dançar

Nas praias de Honolulu

Ia caindo da cadeira quando acordei

Que até dei um pulo.

O meu pensamento foi a seguir

Parar à Jamaica

Que lindas paisagens.

Aí se eu fosse rica.

Imaginei então

As ilhas Phi Phi

Qualquer lugar bonito serve

Desde que seja longe daqui.

Lembrei-me ainda do Havai

Ilhas do Oceano Pacífico

E de muitas outras ilhas desertas

E de sonhar por aqui me fico.

I want to go to an island

I remembered Tahiti

Sell coconut waters

So I can leave here.

I recalled another place

The island of Madagascar

Anywhere will do

To get out of here and get some air.

Then I dreamt of myself dancing

On the beaches of Honolulu

I almost fell out of my chair when

I woke up I even jumped.

My thoughts then went

To stop in Jamaica

What beautiful landscapes.

Oh, if I were rich.

I then imagined

The Phi Phi islands

Any beautiful place will do

As long as it's far from here.

I still remembered Hawaii

Islands of the Pacific Ocean

And many other desert islands

And I'll just keep dreaming here.
