Catarse das Palavras / Catharsis of Words - Deixa-me ouvir o som do silêncio / Let me hear the sound of silence

Imagem retirada da Internet e manipulada com/ Image taken from the Internet and manipulated with: https://photomania.net/editor

Deixa-me ouvir o som do silêncio
Fechar os olhos e respirar
Encher de ar os pulmões
Para conseguir serenar.

Deixem-me sentir o corpo
Ficar mais tranquilo
Soltando o turbilhão de ideias
Sobre isto e aquilo.

Deixem-me simplesmente estar
Dona e senhora do meu nariz
Seguindo adiante
Procurando apenas ser feliz.

Let me hear the sound of silence
Close my eyes and breathe
Fill the lungs with air
To achieve serenity.

Let me feel the body
To be calmer
Unleashing the whirlwind of ideas
About this and that.

Let me simply be
Mistress of my nose
Moving on
Just looking to be happy.

Amores Platónicos / Platonic loves - Vejo-te à transparência / I see you to the transparency

Imagem retirada da Internet e manipulada com/ Image taken from the Internet and manipulated with: https://photomania.net/editor
Vejo-te à transparência
Até aquilo que não queres mostrar
Bem tentas esconder
Mas não consegues disfarçar.

Tenho olhos de lince
Coração de leão
Por de trás da tua alma
Vejo o que está para alem da razão.

Podes tentar fingir
Arriscar jogar comigo
Consegues facilmente rir
Assim como ser fingindo.

Amiga do tempo
Sei que acabo por vencer
Tudo se encaixa na perfeição
Nada tenho a temer.

I see you to the transparency
Even what you do not want to show
You're trying to hide
But you can not disguise it.

I have lynx eyes
Lion Heart
Behind your soul
I see what lies beyond reason.

You can try to pretend
To risk playing with me
You can easily laugh
Just like being fake.

Time friend
I know I just won
Everything fits perfectly
I have nothing to fear.

Diálogo entre poemas / Dialogue between poems: Encantar-te-ás com os poetas até conheceres um / You will enchant yourself with the poets until you meet one – José Luís Peixoto

Imagem retirada da Internet / Image taken from the Internet

Quando conheceres um poeta (Nonô)

Quando conheceres um poeta,
ele pode usar calças ou saia
e ser uma pessoa comum.

Eles são almas criativas
que preenchem o vazio com palavras,
sobre os assuntos mais variados.

Se falares com um poeta
poderás ver as tuas conversas registadas

José Luís Peixoto, in Gaveta de Papéis (2008)

When you meet a poet (Nonô)

When you meet a poet,
He can wear pants or skirt.
and be an ordinary person.

They are creative souls
that fill the void with words,
on the most varied subjects.

If you talk to a poet
you can see your conversations recorded
somewhere between the lines.

Not always alone
Sometimes accompanied
The poets are a little aloof.

You will enchant yourself with the poets until you meet one.
With poet's pants, poet's shirt and coat
of poet, the poets go to the supermarket.

People who are alone often call,
so poets often call. They want
talk about newspaper articles, photographs, or postcards.

Never give too much to a poet, you will repent.
They are always the last to find parking
to the car, but when it rains do not get wet,

pass through the raindrops. Not because they are
magicians, or being thin, but being silly.
The lack of practical meaning of the poets is not funny.
