outubro de 2024 e que versa sobre o feminino, acerca do empoderamento, da
autoafirmação e autoestima que tanto precisamos nos dias que correm. É

pela Nossa integridade.
Na
realidade, ao longo da história da humanidade, as mulheres têm sofrido, e ainda
sofrem, inúmeras faltas de respeito à sua integridade física e moral. E por

What brings me here today is the sharing of an unpublished poem, which I wrote in October 2024, and which is about the feminine, concerning empowerment, self-affirmation, and self-esteem that we so greatly need nowadays. It is especially relevant when, everywhere we look, news of disrespect for Our integrity arises.
In reality, throughout human history, women have suffered, and still suffer, countless instances of disrespect for their physical and moral integrity. And because of this, this poem is so relevant for global awareness.

comemorar o Dia Internacional do Livro Infantil, que se assinala hoje, 3
de março de 2026 (aniversário do mestre Hans Christian Andersen), dedico o
artigo de hoje a um dos meus primeiros livros: Animais Poéticos.
Porque
se comemora esta data? A 2 de abril celebra-se o nascimento do renomado
escritor dinamarquês Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), o mestre dos
contos infantis (O Patinho Feio, A Pequena Sereia). Desde 1967,
esta data foi adotada pela IBBY (International Board on Books for Young
People) para promover a leitura e chamar a atenção para a importância
fundamental dos livros na formação das crianças em todo o mundo.
A
propósito desta comemoração, trago um poema incluído em Animais Poéticos
que é muito especial para mim. Desta vez, o poema intitula-se “Enquanto o
Gato Dorme”.

To celebrate International
Children's Book Day, which is marked today, March 3, 2026 (the
birthday of the master Hans Christian Andersen), I dedicate today's article to
one of my first books: Poetic Animals.
Why is this date celebrated?April 2nd marks the birth of the renowned
Danish writer Hans Christian Andersen (1805-1875), the master of
children's tales (The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid). Since
1967, this date has been adopted by the IBBY (International Board on
Books for Young People) to promote reading and highlight the fundamental
importance of books in children's development worldwide.
On the occasion of this celebration,
I bring a poem included in Poetic Animals that is very special to me.
This time, the poem is entitled "While the Cat Sleeps".

calendário oriental, damos hoje as boas-vindas ao Ano do Cavalo de Fogo.
Na astrologia, tanto oriental como ocidental, este é um tempo de mudanças
velozes. Os planetas movem-se, as energias renovam-se e o que acontece no
cosmos reflete-se em cada um de nós. Estamos perante um ciclo de ação, coragem
e transformação rápida.

Hello! Today is February 17th, and
for me, this is the true beginning of 2026. As my health prevented me from
celebrating on January 1st, I chose this symbolic date for my New Year's Eve.
Today, my heart is celebrating.
In the Oriental calendar, we welcome
today the Year of the Fire Horse. In both Oriental and Western
astrology, this is a time of swift changes. Planets move, energies renew, and
what happens in the cosmos is reflected in each of us. We are facing a cycle of
action, courage, and rapid transformation.
Hoje,
14 de fevereiro, o mundo celebra o amor. Coincidentemente, este dia de São
Valentim cai num sábado de Carnaval — um tempo de máscaras, folia e distração.
No entanto, eu escolho despir a alma e falar-te de algo mais profundo e
autêntico.
Muitas
vezes, esta data é vista como algo exclusivo para quem vive um romance a dois,
mas eu vejo-a como o Dia do Amor no seu sentido mais lato. Fevereiro é o
mês do amor, e a verdade é que ele deve estar sempre em nós e connosco. Só
quando estamos plenos e em paz com a nossa própria companhia é que o amor pode,
verdadeiramente, transbordar para o mundo. Mesmo estando solteira, celebro esta
luz, porque escolho-me como a minha primeira e maior decisão.

Hello!
Today, February 14th, the world
celebrates love. Coincidentally, this Valentine's Day falls on a Carnival
Saturday — a time of masks, revelry, and distraction. However, I choose to
unveil my soul and speak to you of something deeper and more authentic.
Often, this date is seen as exclusive
to those in a relationship, but I see it as Love Day in its broadest
sense. February is the month of love, and the truth is that it must always be
within us and with us. Only when we are fulfilled and at peace with our own
company can love truly overflow into the world. Even being single, I celebrate
this light, because I choose myself as my first and greatest decision.

é o Catarse das Palavras - Volume I, o meu segundo livro bilingue

em que se assinala a 5ª feira negra). Este livro inclui poemas de carácter
mais intenso e visceral, é um convite a olhar para os desafios do dia a dia

This is Catharsis of Words -Volume I, my second bilingual book and the most recent one,
published on Gumroad on October 24, 2025 (the day marking Black
Thursday). This book includes poems of a more intense and visceral nature;
it is an invitation to look at the challenges of daily life from a new
perspective.

Quem
me conhece — familiares, amigos e leitores — sabe que tenho uma paixão
profunda pela cultura japonesa. Tive o privilégio de estar no Japão em
março de 2025, na época mágica das Sakuras (flores de cerejeira), o
que foi uma inspiração imensa!
Sou
também uma grande admiradora do mestre Matsuo Bashō e, para aprofundar a
arte, frequentei um curso de Haikus no Museu do Oriente. Naturalmente,
escrevi (e ainda escrevo!) inúmeros Haikus que decidi reunir neste livro
singular.
Those who know me — family, friends,
and readers — know that I have a deep passion for Japanese culture. I
had the privilege of being in Japan in March 2025, during the magical
season of the Sakuras (cherry blossoms), which was an immense
inspiration!
I am also a great admirer of the
master Matsuo Bashō and, to deepen the art, I took a Haiku course at
the Museum of the Orient. Naturally, I wrote (and still write!) numerous
Haikus that I decided to gather in this singular book.

Dia Mundial contra o Cancro, em 2026, assinala-se na próxima segunda-feira, dia
4 de fevereiro. No entanto, como habitualmente nos encontramos aqui às
sextas-feiras, escolho escrever-te hoje. Antecipar esta partilha é a
minha forma de garantir que este tema tem o espaço e a atenção que merece,
permitindo que a mensagem de esperança chegue a tempo de iluminar o início da
tua semana.
Hoje,
escolho o silêncio que precede a partilha. Às vezes, a poesia não é apenas o
que escrevemos, mas a forma como sobrevivemos ao que a vida nos impõe.
Ao
longo dos últimos tempos, tenho guardado um projeto muito especial junto ao
peito. Um projeto que não é apenas sobre palavras, mas sobre cicatrizes que se
transformaram em luz. Hoje, decidi desvendar um pouco desse "véu": "O
Meu Laço Cor-de-Rosa: A Minha História de Superação".
Este
é um projeto em desenvolvimento onde mergulho na minha própria jornada. Quero

Hello!
World Cancer Day in 2026 falls on the
coming Monday, February 4th. However, as we usually meet here on Fridays, I
choose to write to you today. Anticipating this sharing is my way of
ensuring this topic gets the space and attention it deserves, allowing this
message of hope to reach you in time to brighten the start of your week.
Today, I choose the silence that
precedes sharing. Sometimes, poetry is not just what we write, but how we
survive what life imposes on us.
Over the last few months, I have been
keeping a very special project close to my heart. A project that is not just
about words, but about scars that have turned into light. Today, I decided to
unveil a bit of that "veil": "My Pink Ribbon: My Story of
Overcoming".
This is a project in development
where I dive into my own journey. I want you to know that behind the poet,
there is a woman who learned to see beauty even on the grayest days.

Superação, não Luta / EN: Overcoming, not a Fight
PT: Muitas
vezes ouvimos falar em "luta" contra o cancro, mas eu prefiro a
palavra Superação. O cancro é uma mutação celular que ocorre dentro de
nós; não é um inimigo externo, mas parte de nós que precisa de cuidado e
transformação. A palavra superação traz consigo alento, fé e esperança —
elementos que considero fundamentais para enfrentar este desafio que pode
surgir na vida de qualquer pessoa.
EN: We often hear about the "fight" against
cancer, but I prefer the word Overcoming. Cancer is a cellular mutation
occurring within us; it’s not an external enemy, but a part of us that needs
care and transformation. The word overcoming brings with it solace, faith, and
hope — elements I consider fundamental to facing this challenge that can appear
in anyone's life.
PT:Mesmo no meio do processo, não deixei a doença retirar o meu brilho. No meu 42.º aniversário, celebrei como se não houvesse amanhã, ao lado da minha sobrinha (que na altura tinha 8 anos e hoje tem 16). Escolher-me como prioridade e decisão foi o que transformou este momento em pura luz.
EN:Even in the middle of the process, I didn't let the disease take away my shine. On my 42nd birthday, I celebrated as if there were no tomorrow, alongside my niece (who was 8 at the time and is now 16). Choosing myself as a priority and a decision is what turned this moment into pure light.

muito feliz e agradecida pelo caminho percorrido através dos livros que

I feel very happy and grateful for
the journey shared through my published books. After telling you about Poetic Animals, Poetic Anthology M.ª Leonor Costa, and Worldly Poetry,
today I present my fourth book, a work from the heart: "The Women We
Are: Poems of Strength and Overcoming" (available in Portuguese).
This book is a retrieval and a
celebration of the sacred feminine, so necessary today. It stems from
celebrating women in all their forms, their multiple identities, and their
infinite possibilities. Every woman carries within herself a transformative
strength, capable of reinventing herself and challenging imposed limitations.
It is a tribute to all women — the
