PT: Olá, querido leitor!

Chegámos à 50.ª conquista, em vésperas de celebrar os meus 50 anos.

E esta última é talvez a mais simples e também a mais profunda: sou filha, sou irmã, sou tia, sou amiga.

Sou presença, escuta e afeto. Sou alguém que ama e se deixa amar.

Os seres humanos são seres sociais por natureza. Somos mais felizes em ligação, em partilha e em cuidado mútuo do que na solidão.

Assinalo hoje esta dimensão essencial da minha existência, aquela que me torna humana, relacional e inteira.

EN: Hello, dear reader!

We have reached the 50th achievement, on the eve of celebrating my 50th birthday.

And this last one is perhaps the simplest and also the deepest: I am a daughter, I am a sister, I am an aunt, I am a friend.

I am presence, listening and affection. I am someone who loves and lets herself be loved.

Human beings are social by nature. We are happier in connection, in sharing and in caring for one another than in solitude.

Today I mark this essential dimension of my existence, the one that makes me human, connected and whole.

Sou filha, irmã e tia, amiga,

sou colo que não se nega,

sou presença que abriga,

sou verdade quando entrega.

Sou memória dos afetos,

sou raízes, sou ternura,

sou abraços diretos

e amizade que perdura.

Na alegria e na dor,

na ausência ou no reencontro,

sou alguém que dá amor

e também o guarda dentro.

I’m a daughter, sister, aunt, a friend,

a lap that’s never denied,

a shelter that will not end,

truth in all I provide.

I’m the memory of affection,

I’m roots, I’m tenderness,

I’m hugs with no hesitation

and friendship that’s timeless.

In joy and in pain,

apart or reunited,

I give love time and again

and keep it inside, ignited.
