Where the book "Poetic Animals" was created

Marechal Carmona Park de Leonor Costa

Hello, I was recently in the Marechal Carmona Park in Cascais and I remembered something curious about the book "Poetic Animals" (Book only available in Portuguese).

For those who don't know, "Poetic Animals" (Book only available in Portuguese) is the first book by M.ª Leonor Costa  (Nonô) and was published in May 2021.

It's a book of illustrated poetry for children and is an excellent way to familiarise your child with poetry, a subject that will be useful throughout their school career.

Returning to the curiosity that brought me here today, I'm talking about the place where the idea for this book was born, Marechal Carmona Park. If you have the opportunity to visit, you'll be enchanted by the number of animals that can be seen roaming freely in the garden. I'm talking about roosters, ducks, peacocks, turtles and a relaxing contact with nature in the heart of Cascais. For those of you who are curious to know

For those of you who are curious to know who Marechal Carmona was, I recommend you read the article I've made available by clicking on his name.

That's all for today, I bid you farewell with poetic kisses,

Beijo da Nonô

M.ª Leonor Costa (Poesias da Nonô)
