Passando a roupa a ferro  

Passando a roupa a ferro

Numa tarde de inverno

A vida é mesmo assim

Sem realizar esta tarefa não me governo.

 

Pelo menos fico mais quentinha

Devido à quentura do vapor

A minha coluna não gosta muito

Mas sempre sinto um pouco mais de calor.

 

Muita roupa lavada

Que custou a secar

Para a semana há mais

Há sempre roupa para passar.

 

Estendo a tábua na cozinha

Ligo à corrente o ferro de caldeira

Pego, estendo e dobro

Cada peça de roupa à minha maneira.

 

Quando dou a tarefa por terminada

Deixo a roupa arrefecer

Arrumo depois tudo no lugar

Numa casa há sempre roupa para lavar e estender.

Ironing clothes

On a winter's afternoon

Life is just like that

Without performing this task I don't govern myself.

 

At least I stay warmer

Due to the heat of the steam

My spine doesn't like it very much

But I always feel a little warmer.

 

A lot of laundry

That was hard to dry

There's more next week

There's always more ironing to do.

 

I lay out the ironing board in the kitchen

I plug in the boiler iron

I pick up, lay out and fold

Each garment my way.

 

When I'm done

I let the clothes cool

Then I put everything back in place

In a house there is always laundry to be washed and laid out.

És bonita 

És bonita…

Não importa que te digam o contrário

Tens de deixar sair o que é belo em ti

Fazer por te soltares e sair do teu armário.

 

Todas as pessoas são bonitas, cada uma à sua maneira

Mas nem todas deixam a sua beleza transparecer

Escondem-se de tudo e de todos

E nada fazem para o seu próprio prazer.

 

É preciso parar, e reconhecer em nós

Todas as nossas potencialidades

Pois, são essas características

Que fazem de nós beldades!

 

A beleza é um estado de espírito

É um sentir bem por dentro que sai para fora.

Se ainda não te consegues sentir assim

Podes começar a sentir a partir de agora.

You are beautiful

You are beautiful ...

No matter if they tell you otherwise

You have to let out what is beautiful in you

Do by letting go and coming out of your closet.

 

All people are beautiful, each in their own way

But not everyone lets their beauty shine through

They hide from everything and everyone

And do nothing for their own pleasure.

 

We need to stop, and recognize in ourselves

All our potentialities

For it is these characteristics

That make us beautiful!

 

Beauty is a state of mind

It's a feeling good inside that comes out.

If you can't feel this way yet

You can start feeling it from now on.

Imaculada Conceição de Maria / Immaculate Conception of Mary

O dogma da Imaculada Conceição de Maria
é um dos mais queridos para o povo cristão
Ela é a rainha de todos os santos, a Mãe de Jesus
Dia definido em 1854 pelo papa Pio IX e assim começou esta celebração.

Oficialmente no calendário da Igreja a festa não existia,
Mas já antes era extensa essa devoção.
Os bizantinos celebravam-na desde o século VII
Mas foi João Duns Scoto quem resolveu a questão.

Um frade franciscano escocês que morreu em 1308
doutor em teologia chamado de bem-aventurado pelos seus.
Na linha de pensamento de são Francisco de Assis,
ele defendeu este dogma como sendo o início do projeto central de Deus.

Foi da pureza completa da Mãe de Jesus que este dogma nasceu.
O nascimento do Filho de Deus feito homem para a redenção da humanidade.
A festa acabou sendo incluída no calendário romano em 1476.
Em 1570, pelo papa Pio V foi confirmada e formalizada, e, finalmente, no século XVIII, o papa Clemente XI tornou-a obrigatória a toda a cristandade.

Um dia importante para muitos

The dogma of the Immaculate Conception of Mary
is one of the dearest to the Christian people
She is the queen of all saints, the Mother of Jesus
Day set in 1854 by Pope Pius IX and thus began this celebration.
