Alguém está mais triste do que eu
Ou mais feliz.
Alguém é mais rico do que eu
Ou mais pobre.
Alguém neste momento morreu
E um novo bebé nasceu.
Alguém trabalhada
Enquanto outros brincam.
Alguém está a rir às gargalhadas
com certeza há quem esteja a chorar.
A terra continua a girar
O que hoje é algures no mundo
Amanhã pode ser neste lugar.

Somewhere in the world
Someone is sadder than me
Or happier.
Someone is richer than me
Or poorer.
Someone at this moment died
And a new baby was born.
Someone worked
While others play.
Someone is laughing loudly
Surely there are those who are crying.
Earth continues to spin
What is today somewhere in the world
Tomorrow may be in this place.
