They are Roses, my lord!

 

They are Roses, my lord!

What I bring in my lap

These are words of love

about the good deeds I do.

 

To the most needy

I distribute alms and bread

I make envious and the king angry

With my good heart.

 

Miraculously, the bread that was hidden

Turned into roses

King D. Dinis was surprised

I shut up petty and envious minds.

 

In a legend recorded on paper

I didn't worry about the expenses of the royal treasury

So the people proclaimed me holy saint Isabel

The queen of Portugal.
