Nem quando ela se põe à janela
Sempre bem vestidinha
Tem um bom coração
Para além de ser muito bela.
Não tem tido sorte ao amor
Contudo é feliz na mesma
Sozinha ou acompanhada
Sobrevive bem à dor
Para além da quaresma
Sempre bem arranjada.
Por ela muitos passam
E param para olhar
Pois ela não se esconde
A ela não interessam
Não se deixa ofuscar
Só o João Ratão é o seu conde.

Can not find John the big rat
Not even when she stands at the window
Always well dressed
Has a good heart
Apart from being very beautiful.
She has not been lucky for love.
Yet she is happy in the same
Alone or accompanied
Survive well in pain
Beyond Lent
Always well arranged.
For her many pass
And stop to look
Because she does not hide
It does not matter
Do not let yourself be overshadowed
Only John the Great Rat is her count.
